tools.....a voice, a guitar, and a host of great Christian Country songs. Once a star
attraction in the country bars and honky tonk's of his native home Nashville, Tennessee,
Bill no longer sings about cheating hearts, false starts and long weekends. Today Bill
Adkins uses the country music he loves and grew up on to spread the Gospel of Jesus
Christ.
Bill Adkins self-titled debut album has been said to have the new wave of Christian
country music. But, more importantly, in a genre of music still in the process of defining
itself, Bill Adkins has emerged as a pace setter, establishing himself and Christian
Country as powerful forces in the mix of modern-day country music. Bill's first Christian
country music single "Jesus Reached Down" was released with HMG Music Nashville
in June 2007. The single went to #24 on the Power Source Christian Country charts in
March 2008.
The CD's title "Lord Don't Give Up on Me" is written on a foundation of devoutly
Christian thoughts, carrying a message that's relevant to an entire culture. There are
issues that demand to be addressed from a Christian perspective. Lord, don’t give up on
me is a thought that crosses everyone's heart during their walk with the Lord.
The songs that are on this album reflect a time in my life that I thank God for, it showed
me his will for my life and his love for me. Bill plays for churches, nursing homes, outside
events, revivals, fairs, festivals and more. We look forward to worshiping with you in the
future.
